What Clients Say
"I learned of Photo Tours Abroad while searching the web for trips to Yangshou. I had briefly heard of them through George de Wolfe, a professional photographer I had previously worked with.
I only communicated via e-mail, but Mark Anderson was prompt and responsive to my questions. During the course of our correspondence I gained more and more confidence. His and Ian’s familiarity with the areas that ultimately interest photographers looking for classic Chinese landscape images, was what clinched the deal.
The guides they work with in these areas are prompted by them to cater to the needs of a photographer and to handle the necessary communications with the locals needed to provide for those needs, including models when necessary.
They were readily available via phone or e-mail to make any changes to our itinerary or recommendations. Ian Ford, who resides in Yangshou surprised us with his willingness to meet us and accompany us along with Tony, their hand-picked guide.
They made the China trip a winner for us. You can see some of Susan's photos from this trip on her website: www.susanschermer.com"
"The Tour was a non-stop exhilarating introduction to India and its people. The days and nights were filled with opportunities to progress your craft, without missing the experience of being in India. The efficiency of the support team from Photo Tours Abroad allowed us to concentrate on photographing and experiencing India without the usual worries of dealing with access/transport/schedule etc. We will be using Photo Tours Abroad again for our next trip, plans are already afoot. (Tibet is next up depending on work schedule)"
"Extremely valuable – educationally, professionally, creatively. George and Lydia are top of their game, and the venues were great from the museum to the Mountains."
