Krista Elrick

Krista is a fine art photographer with a passion for the wisdom of traditional cultures particularly in the ways that these relate to land conservation. This passion holds a strong influence over her photography.

I am a documentary style photographer focusing my cameras on the spirit that connects nature to people, their land, gardens, families, and past

Having grown up in both Guatemala and the USA, Krista has no qualms about travel and always enjoys following her passion to new venues. She has visited related sites throughout Europe, the Middle East, Central America and across the USA, often in collaboration with specialists from other fields such as writers, folklorists, and historians.

Krista received a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Arizona State University in 1990. Since then she has completed four public art commissions, three books and numerous exhibitions. In 2009 she received a PubWest Gold Medallion Book Award for her publication, Through the Lens: Creating Santa Fe (Elrick, Redding).
